Peer Support Services

Peer Support Services

The overarching aim of Our Peer Support program is to increase the knowledge base of older people living in Hackney and the City of London so that they are better able to make choices about their housing and social care.

We want to increase the number of older people able to take advantage of the internet to become better connected and informed.

We want to create a 'virtuous' circle by providing information and training to older people so that they as Peer supporters can share their knowledge and experience with other older people who may be frailer or less socially active.

Currently we are running two projects under this theme:

  • The Silverlinks Project - promoting knowledge on Housing and Social Care.
  • Digital Inclusion Project - promoting access to the internet.

If you would like further information about either of these project please contact us by email peersupport@mrsindependentliving.org or telephone 0333 801013.
